i went into this book expecting practically nothing, and i got everything. it is heartfelt, has a major twist that gutted me, and is really meta and raw.

i don’t want to spoil anything - i know many are apprehensive to read a covid novel, but i can’t implore you enough to read it.

thank you netgalley and ballantine books for providing me with an advanced copy!

Three years post pandemic, it is such a good read to remind you of the struggle and how scary everything was. Thinking about the time you never get back with the people you love and living each day to its fullest

At first, I thought it was silly to read a book about covid only a few years after the beginning of the pandemic. I lived through it! Admittedly, I almost put the book down a few times because I felt like it was too trite and slow in parts. I decided to stick through it because it was a Jodi Picoult book and I’m very glad I did. The payoff was worth it! I felt like it was a look into the pandemic that not a lot of people got to see with their own eyes. The ending wrapped everything up beautifully. Well worth the read!

I loved certain elements and found most of the story very intriguing, but overall it was less impactful than other novels I've read by Piccoult.

This was such a hard no I’m pretty upset that I wasted my time on it tbh. My first and probably last read from this author.
