I'm trying to be less cranky in my reviews, so I did the CAWPILE assessment, and came up with three stars. In the spirit of this decision, I did round up to four.
I enjoyed the description of living in the late Soviet state and of Siberia. Each person was dealing with the trauma of Stalin, as well as Anya as a cog in the Sport System - where abuse ran rampant and emotions were not allowed.
