The Prison Healer wasn't a bad read, but it just didn't excite me. The characters and plot had potential, but it just didn’t hold my attention. The last page, however, threw in a bit of intrigue, which has me slightly interested in what happens next—but not enough to say for sure if I’ll continue the series.

Idk how to feel about this. It was good! But I honestly called every “plot twist” before it happened. I’m definitely intrigued by where the story is going, but I wasn’t too invested in Kiva and Jaren at all tbh. Like I get that they’re going to be enemies to lovers and all but I’m confused why kiva never had any inner turmoil regarding Jared when they were in the final trial. Like if she knew that he was the prince, why didn’t she react sooner? Idk just the whole thing of her being the rebel princess made no sense to me.

This was really good! They really dropped 2 bombs in the last 25% and it was pretty crazy and I’m still thinking about it. I’m intrigued to see where it goes next.

Soooo good! If you like YA Fantasy get to reading! And the last page, the LAST Page! Ugh. Excellent characters, so much tension, different plot, twists, a smidge of a romance. Give me that sequel!

I listened to this book on audible and I 100% believe I would have dnf'ed it if I read it instead.

The trails were the biggest let down in the story. I thought we where going to get a more hunger games like scene but the trials lasted like 2 second. Though besides that, I didn’t hate reading / listening to the book. Some parts had me laughing or gasping. I just wanted a little bit more action in the book considering the prison was supposed to be the most dangerous place in the country.
When it came to the last trail and everything coming out I became more interested, but during the book it felt a little repetitive with her day to day.

The ending did leave me with a lot of questions, leaving me in a shock state lol!
I will be continuing the series because the ending was absolutely crazy and was left on a big cliffhanger. Hopefully it has more action.

3.5. Super slow and kinda blah until the last few chapters. Don’t know if I’ll read the next one or not.
