Come for Carrie Fisher’s narration, stay for Carrie Fisher’s incredible impression of her mother.

One of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Carrie Fisher was truly a force to be reckoned with, and after reading the book I have a feeling that she’d self deprecatingly yet wittily agree.

I wish she could have had more time with us, but I’m thankful to have her immortalized in this memoir.

Cheers to the woman who drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.

I read this via audiobook.

This wasn't really what I was expecting. It was filled with a lot of sarcasm and self-deprecating jokes, and I ultimately felt like I learned a lot more about her mother Debbie Reynolds than I did about Carrie herself. It also rubbed me the wrong way of how negatively she spoke about "Star Wars" - and no, I'm not a fan (I've only ever seen 3 of the movies, and only one of them featured Princess Leia).

I always appreciate when an author narrates their own audiobook (especially when it's a memoir) but I wouldn't recommend this one. The "humorous" bits seemed way too forced to me.
