I believe my review for book 1 encompasses how I feel about book two as well.
The mystery continues, and Elise continues to unravel more and more clues about what her brother was involved in that might have contributed to his death.
There is more character development in this book; we see how each of the characters is not as two-dimensional as we may have once thought.
All in all, I would honestly go and read my review for book one and take it as the review for this one as well. Not enough has happened for my opinions to change drastically other than the fact that you fall more in love with this world and with the characters.
Elise is still a badass, and the men are slowly loosening up their harsh rules on what they will and will not allow themselves to do/feel.
I will say these books are phenomenal for people who have some pent-up rage and LOVE to see terrible characters get the shit kicked out of them when they deserve it. The swift revenge arcs are amazing and it kind of show each character's vulnerabilities, limits, passions, and power as it will relate to the big revenge plot that the series is building up to.
Spice is once again a 10/5 and the book is ridiculously entertaining!
