I loved this book so much! This book radiated comfort vibes. It's a romcom that also tackles very serious topics. I think it was balanced out well. I loved Wes and Britta so much. Their dynamic is so cute. The banter between the two of them was so nice. The slow burn between them was everything. It's a friends to lovers/forced proximity/workplace romance. I didn't even realize this book was friends to lovers until I was almost done lol. It wasn't boring at all. The overall plot of the story was really good too. I loved seeing other characters from previous books. I also loved how every single character's role had significance. In my opinion there weren't really any "side characters" because each character added and contributed to the plot. The literal only complaint I have is that I own the physical book and the font size was a bit too small lol. Overall I loved this book so much. This is can definitely fall into the category of comfort books. I don't know how to describe it but it felt like a comfort read. I highly recommend.

I hate all the cussing, but I loved the premise. It made me cry twice. Nothing groundbreaking, but what I wanted at the time

Really enjoyed this one! Spicy slow burn romance with great, honest body positivity representation.

I really appreciated that
Wes doesn’t accompany her over the finish line at the end to “save” her - he just reminds her that she is strong enough on her own.
And I love the goal she accomplishes at the end!

Also enjoyed both the narrators in this dual-POV story.

this was a sweet romance with really great characters and an amazing message about about body positivity and neutrality. I really appreciate how fitness is represented in this book as a journey that isn’t all about losing weight but becoming comfortable and feeling good in the bodies we have; I appreciated this even more because of the fact that the main character is a fat woman who is very clear that she isn’t doing this to lose weight and the coach/love interest is very very supportive of this.

I really liked Britta and Wes was adorable. The banter was cute and I enjoyed the romantic buildup. It's great to read about a woman with curves overcome her insecurities about her body and own her sexiness. I liked that the focus was on feeling better and not losing weight. However, I couldn't get into all the fitness stuff lol. There was just too much "rah rah I can do this! I am strong! etc." It got kind of boring. Also, the fact that there was so little fallout for Wes and FitMi about being with a client didn't seem realistic to me. The author made such a big deal about Wes being a rule follower and having an unflappable moral code but he crossed the line very easily and was really careless with the company he built. If I were Cord, I would have been furious that my friend and cofounder would put the future of the company at risk so flippantly. Instead he was just like, ah well buddy, no big deal. Mason was the only one who made any sense!
All in all it was a fun read.

Ooof. I love a swoony romance that tackles hard topics, and Denise Williams does it so well. Definitely check the content warning and/or read the authors note at the beginning.

Bonus points for the epistolary element which I have a soft spot for (texts and emails).
