This was a thoroughly enjoyable, satisfying read with wrenching emotional turns, as the author afforded us a glimpse into the psyche of modern South Korean women -- each with her own back story and relatable struggles. I really liked her writing style which is intelligent and succinct yet descriptive and sensual. The five different narratives running in together was also refreshing. This is one book I actually wish I didn't finish reading so quickly.

Insightful look into a concept of room girls which I was not previously familiar with. Beautifully written and despite some characters making choices you may not agree with, you are rooting for them equally. A touch on the expectations of Korean culture for context, it highlights how some aspects are both widely accepted to exist and yet unacceptable to partake in.
