As a whole, I was hoping for a lot more depth and introspection on the issues discussed in the book, but the novel simply felt too short, instead simply grazing over the topics it wants to discuss.

I’ve had this on my self for a year and I kept avoiding even opening it and I don’t know why. I’m so glad I finally opened it because I liked it so much more than I thought I would. This book made me feel a particular kind of pride in being a woman.
