Finally 'The Bride Test' after months of waiting ><
Bingung sebenarnya mau kasih bintang 3 atau 4 tapi akhirnya memutuskan untuk memberi 4 bintang untuk usahaku menunggu novel ini rilis selama berbulan-bulan 😅
Now, I can't help but compare this with The Kiss Quotient and I found that I still love The Kiss Quotient more than The Bride Test.
I love Khai, I understand his struggle as an autistic. I do love Esme too, I am kinda know her struggles too. But for me the story just so long and just go around, make me feel kinda bored when I read it.
I have high expectation with this book but then when I read it, I feel just flat 😢 But actually it was a beautiful story. It worth the wait.
I wish Helen Hoang can write the story about Quan or maybe Jade hahaha

Helen Hoang does one thing every single time. She makes me cry. This wasn’t even that sad or something. But I cried after a long time reading this book. I have been going through a depressive phase and sometimes the heaviness wouldn’t go away and tears won't come. But she still managed to make me cry. And I love her for that.

She makes my heart burn, just the way a romance should make your heart burn. The way she writes creates such tension, agony, it's spot on everytime.

The story was beautiful. But it wasn’t perfect like Quan's or Stella's story. Hence 3 stars.

How was it not perfect? The ending was rushed and it took time for me to see the journey through Esme's eyes.

This was sweet, but nothing compared to how I felt about the first book in this series. I really did enjoy it though, even if some parts of it were a little cringy.

2.5/5 stars - sweet, but I think I just didn’t latch onto their chemistry

I really loved the first one and wasn't quite as in to this one. The characters, especially the male lead, fell flat for me. The first characters of the first book just felt more rounded. Book one was also sexier and funnier. Still, I liked Esme's arc.
