4.11 AVERAGE

DNF after reaching page 110. :/ It just wasn't my type of book. I just had no urge to pick it up and didn't really care for the characters and plot.

Brilliant!
The passion, action, love, hate, and suspense has grown with intensity throughout the trilogy until we reach the climax in book 3. I thought book 1 was great on its own but the next two fully expand the world and develop the characters beyond what I expected. It is a fantastic story. I cannot recommend it enough!
Girls of Fate and Fury is and is not wrapped up with a pretty bow. There are dark times and loss and grief but there is hope and love. The characters I have grown to care deeply for are not black and white, good or bad. They are real people who live in the gray areas where mistakes and hard choices are made, sometimes with the best of intentions, sometimes out of selfishness. But there is forgiveness and truth and light and they carry on to the best of their abilities.
I love, love, love Wren and Lei together! They are a beautiful balance holding steady in an unrelenting world. Their love despite everything is wholly pure.

Love this trilogy you will not be disappointed

I really enjoyed this series! I’m not typically a fantasy girl but the Asian elements but really worked for me, and though I didn’t learn about the authors intent until halfway through this last book, knowing her why behind the story made it hit that much more true. Recommend!

I read the first two books in this series forever ago, so I made finishing this trilogy a priority this year. This third book was a wild ride that wrapped the series up beautifully. Lei and Wren were compelling characters. They both had to work through their trauma and hurt while also trying to fight for and create a better world to live in. Their separation and ache for each other was heartbreaking. I loved watching Lei come into her own and embrace the role she had to play to once and for all end the terror and pain inflicted by the Demon King. Wren’s journey to figuring out who she was outside of the warrior her father forged her into was deeply affecting. Blue, Zhen, Zhin, Chenna, Aoki, Nitta, Lova, Merrin, Tien, Baba, and Kenzo added depth and heart to the story. I enjoyed the dual POV and the way it set the stage from both Wren’s and Lei’s perspectives. The plot was well paced and kept me hooked. I was surprised by the reveals and loved the way they impacted the plot. The ending was fitting and wrapped the plot up nicely. However it left things between Wren and Lei unresolved. While I liked the hopeful tone of the epilogue I feel like it didn’t wholly resolve the hurts and misunderstandings between Lei and Wren.

A beautiful end to the trilogy. I liked this plot far better than the second book. And the ending wrapped up wonderfully.
