DID NOT FINISH: 25%

DNF at 25%. There's nothing wrong with this book, I've just realized I'm not attached to the characters anymore the way I was back when I read the first one, and considering how long it took me to read the second, I'm not looking to have a repeat of that. So I think I'm going to part with my copies of these books and pass them on to someone who will want and enjoy them.

4 stars. Fantastic conclusion to this trilogy. I really enjoyed it. I can’t recommend these books enough, they are such interesting reads with heavy themes in them. Ngan’s writing has gotten better and better with each book and the characters development throughout all three books has been consistent and well done.

This book picks up right after the cliffhanger of book two and the plot never slows down. The stakes are high and I was legitimately nervous for the characters at certain moments. Lei and Wren spend a lot of time a part which I didn’t like because I love their relationship but I totally understood why the author did that. It worked for the sake of the plot but the moments we do get of them together were so worth it. Everything wraps up well and I really liked the ending a lot. This series is fantastic and I’m so glad that this ending was not a let down. I’m looking forward to seeing what Ngan’s next book/series is going to be about and I will definitely read it.

This series will always hold a special place in my heart. Natasha Ngan should be proud of herself.

Lova is the reason this is three stars. I also wish we got to see the "demon-queen" more times before the final battle but we accept what we get huh?
