can’t say i’m particularly impressed. this series isn’t terrible there’s a whole bunch of nothing in between that makes it very boring to get through. by the end i just wanted to get it over with. which is a shame cuz the first book really did hook me but i wonder if the author really had much thought out past that, especially in regards to the side characters. they were so dreadfully one note and lackluster and even the mcs didn’t really leave a great impression on me.
with all the negatives though i swear the series isn’t awful. it’s just bland. a decent entry into the lesbian fantasy romance world though and a pretty good novel by feminist fiction standards.

Book 3 was more engaging and I really enjoyed this ending. I felt character deaths more and really cheered on the girls as they fought for their freedoms.

This book started off strong and ended strong, though it didn't have as much of an impact as the end of book one did. The stakes were much higher this time and I worried every page of the book for the two mains but I liked the way the series ended.

A satisfying and epic conclusion to the trilogy. I enjoyed this novel especially because after the climatic cathartic third act Marvel battle the story continues, not just an epilogue but for a number of chapters. We got to see not just how all the players are recovering but instead of focusing on how societies and government are restructured we focus on the characters we have been following through these three books and get to see them find some resolution.
