Overall, this book was an entertaining read. The style of the writing makes it a lighthearted mystery and a quick read. I found that I was more invested in the relationship between Charlotte and Jamie than I was in the previous books. I like them both as a character. Although I was able to figure out a lot and the reveal wasn’t a shocking ending, this was a solid conclusion to a great series.

“A part of my brain was always at war.” Here are reasons to read the YA Mystery book:

End of series - In this 4th book, and the end of this series
Holmes and Watson - Charlotte Holmes and Jamie Watson are preparing for college
A Play - They are recruited to be a part of a dramatic society at Oxford
Missing girl - where last year a girl went missing

After reading the first 3 books in the series and having mixed reviews, I wanted to finish these off. And I am glad I did. This might have been my fav book in the series, but I like academia books. It is necessary to read the first 3 to get the back story of the trauma that these 2 have had. But the mystery is really fun and the epilogue is satisfying.

Easily solved crime, (she didn't even solve it) and incredibly flat ending.

This series started off a little slow, but grew into something interesting. This book wasn’t my favorite because it seemed short and the case was a little weak. Overall, this was a fun series to read.
