Full disclosure: I am a long-time listener of Bobby Finger's podcast, Who Weekly, for years. I don't think that will bias my review that much, but I thought it would be important to note.
I enjoyed reading this book. The eye for characterization and location is very strong. However, what lowers my opinion is two big factors. One, I feel like I wanted a little more showing and little less telling. Having more interactions with the main characters would have helped, in my humble opinion. Two, I think the resolution happens way too quickly. I would have like to see more of what happens without going into too many spoilers.
