It's… probably not good that in the month since I've read this, I've forgotten almost everything about it. Probably cute? And a well-thought-out storyline? I do know that I'll continue reading Emma Lord's fiction, YA or not, and that's a pretty good sign.

I really appreciated the balance of lighthearted-ness and deeper, meaningful conversation in this book. I think the grief element was done beautifully and appropriately for a YA book. The romance was very cute as well!

I don’t know if I would have been able to get through it if I read the physical book vs listening to the audio book. One of the “twists” was something I saw coming from the first mentions of it. It was a cute story though and enjoyable to listen to.

Loved this book! Especially loved being able to read a lighthearted romcom catered to YA with no spice!! As a Christian, books like this are hard to come by!

I may need a little more time to figure out why this book wasn't quite a 4 for me.

The story was cute and I liked the characters. I felt Andie had some great personal growth. I loved seeing the representation of bi/lesbian characters. I had suspicions what the major conflict would be pretty early on. The romance was somewhat slow (maybe I've been reading too much adult romance/ smut). But it was otherwise a cozy quick read.

I think my biggest annoyance was Andie's need to literally try and fix everyone's problems. Also her weird aversion to curse words, replacing them with food items. It wasn't cute... just annoying to me. Especially since shit and fuck were both used elsewhere. Also Andie was basically raised by snarky grannies who I promise swore.

I pretty much enjoyed this story overall. The book is about Andie, who just transferred to her dream college in the middle of her freshman year. Her boyfriend, not knowing about her transfer, actually transferred to the community college in which she had been attending. This story is really just about Andie’s search to find herself, separate from that of her mom who passed away, and separate from all the limits she has placed on herself. She does this with the help of a pretty cool found family: Milo, Shay, and Valeria. Also, Milo is book boyfriend material— I mean that coffee addiction is pretty hot.
I will say there were some aspects of this that made me uncomfortable, mainly the fact that Andie clearly had feelings for Milo while she was still in her relationship. Of course, it isn’t as bad as what Conner did, but I don’t feel like mentally or emotionally cheating is acceptable. However, I kinda need a Shay and Valeria spin off book.
