I liked the book but it didn't knock my socks off. It was a good beach read and for once, I liked how the author handled changing from 6 different points of view and think that added to the story. But, overall, most of the characters weren't very likeable (except maybe the dead one, which hardly counts). Out of six friends who once lived together, one is a rock star, one is a mini-Martha Stewart, and one is a plastic surgeon to the rich and famous. Needless to say, I didn't find myself relating to any of them and felt like the reason they were fighting was ridiculous.

With that said, I did think the book was well-written and I did appreciate how it seemed like most of the characters were ready for change and hopeful about the future by the end of the book.

Didn't finish because halfway through, I hated all of the characters and didn't care one iota what happened to any of them. Life's too short to read bad books. Movin' on!

I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this one. On one hand, it was very readable and had a good variety of characters--a famous singer, a food blogger, a surgeon, a lawyer etc. On the other hand, it was completely unbelievable that every one of this group of friends all went on to such success. How good was that college? I liked how the book switched between their perspectives but I don't think it added much; the "secrets" we'd read in each chapter came out pretty quickly. All in all, I don't regret reading it, it was a fun beach read, but I can't imagine reading it again.

Took me a little while to get into it but by the end I cared about the characters and what happened next.

I liked the premise of this book because it sounded believable, but once I realized every character was either famous or extraordinarily rich, I lost the connection.

Six college friends at Penn share a house and assume that they will always be friends. Years later after Bea dies, the group is for the most part estranged and out of touch; other than two who are married. On the eve of what would have been Bea's 40th birthday, they reunite at the house. Unfortunately, I found almost every single one of these characters terribly annoying. You would think that maybe by 40 at least one of them had grown up, but it really didn't seem that way. They all have major issues they are struggling with as do most of us, but I just really couldn't find any sympathy for any of them. They were all just really a mess. The ending was okay, but sappy.

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this novel to review in exchange for an honest opinion.

A group of friends reunited for the weekend twenty years later with one key friend missing. Everyone has a story to tell that includes the past and their current situation. I wish the ending gave us a little more, but I understand why the author wrote it the way she did. Will the weekend change them or help them to remember themselves and what they wanted all those years ago? I look forward to more books by this author!
