Feeling kinda dumb because I started to read this mixing it up with another book. I was a little confused and while sifting through my TBR for my book challenges, I realized that I hadn't read the first book. With that being said, you don't really NEED the 1st book to understand the 2nd book. It made me enjoy this book even more than I already was. I think without that little bit this book would have been a 4 star read instead of a 5 star read.

This was a pretty solid follow up to [b:One of Us Is Lying|32571395|One of Us Is Lying (One of Us is Lying, #1)|Karen M. McManus|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1490084494l/32571395._SY75_.jpg|49825436]. I really liked the new characters, but I found the plot a bit harder to follow and more convoluted than the first book. I'd still read another one though! and after a string of bad adult thrillers I'll take an average YA lmao

I really liked this one surprisingly. the first one felt lacklustre and I definitely didn't connect with the characters as much as everyone else did, except cooper and addy. but this a lot this better. probably not deserving of 4 stars but knox and phoebe are so sizzy coded

I felt like this sequel was unneeded.

I was hoping to see more of the original Bayview 4 in this book. I was slightly disappointed to follow the story of Phoebe and Knox as new characters to the series. However, the story was still very good.

Spoiler I loved the fact that Maeve and Knox became heroes for discovering and moving the bomb. When they started investigating the creepy guy who Phoebe had not met or recognised, I started to suspect her sister’s involvement but I never suspected her innocent brother’s involvement!
