This book was okay. The writing was okay and the atmosphere was fine also the ending was fine. The paced of plot was bit slow for my liking. The cover of the book was stuning. I did really liked the characters but I would liked the characters to been flash out bit more.

This was a fascinating exploration of a lesser known event in history. I loved Asta's character and really related to her as a woman. I felt the writing didn't always have the best flow to it and found the use of parentheses a bit excessive - but on the whole, an enjoyable read.
