Although I don’t really like Christmas that much, I wanted to read this book so much for two reasons: firstly because I feel in love with historical romance books when I was 12/13 years and no matter what I read or like every week, I still go back to them, secondly because I know the authors as being very recommended and I have read some of their work before and really enjoyed it.
This book is perfect if you want to binge in the Christmas atmosphere with such a diverse characters and interesting stories that definitely would find their HEA no matter what they have to do to get there.
I can’t say i have a favourite because i loved them all, I loved the writings, the way each character is described and how their thoughts and feelings are presented.
Well done ladies 😘❤️

This was a very enjoyable set of novellas! Great stories and romances!

A couple stories had main characters that were older than most main characters in historicals I’ve read which was so refreshing and fun to read. And there is a balance of steamy novellas and clean novellas. And there are epilogues in most of them which I loved!

Great anthology for the Christmas season!

Overall: 3.5/5
Anna Bradley's was my favorite. I didn't read the ones by Nadine Millard, Tabetha Waite, or Annabelle Anders because they didn't appeal. Bought it for 99 cents so I got my money's worth.

Married by Christmas by Jenna Jaxon
3/5
Not bad. No sex if you're concerned about that sort of thing.

The Christmas Wager by Angelina Jameson
1.5/5
It was okay. I didn't get the animosity between the MCs, Chastain was into Iris until he found out she was his friend's sister and he is pissy with her about that? And Iris thought he was a rake, but no real evidence was given for this. I think some gossip was mentioned where he flirted with two women at the same party or something? idk I don't remember if there was sex, I don't think so but maybe it was unmemorable.

Boughs of Folly by Anna Bradley
4/5
The best of the lot, and not just for the punny title. A freshly minted Lord is trying to clean up his act because he realizes his siblings are starting to copy him. So he ditches his mistress and takes the whole gang to the countryside to get everyone away from the temptations of London.
Unfortunately the spunky actress he sorta kinda had a crush on pops up in his neck of the woods and stirs everything up. He tries really hard to be good, but his family loves her and she helps his sister out of a tough spot with a fortune hunter. So he falls, hard. There's sex in this one, and groveling. And both are hot.

2.5 stars--as always, some stories were better than others.

I loved the first two and last story. They made me smirk into my cup of tea and laugh aloud. Cute, fun stories with endearing characters.

The rest were a struggle to read, from the characters to the just plain bad writing. I had to skip through them; they were that terrible.
