Not enough personality in this. The two story lines being unrelated was a waste of time. It seemed like the author had two small ideas and just mashed them together into one book.

Amos Decker meets Will Robie and a boatload of crimes at once. It feels a little cramped, too much happening in too little space and time.

The story line came together very last minute, more so than normal, but overall, this was a strong “finish” to the series! (Though I hope this is not the last we see of Amos Decker!) I adored the “friendship” between Decker and Robbie and wished we could have scene so much more of those two together! I definitely missed Bogarts presence in this book, however! He always plays a minor role but I do enjoy him when he’s there! Overall, a page turner through and through and perhaps one of my favorite Amos Decker books behind Memory Man.

Overall, I am sad, for now, to leave behind Amos Decker, Alex Jamison, and friends.

Meh. Makes me want to read the Will Robbie series though.

Amos Decker is one of the most unique characters that I have ever read about, and to me that’s what makes reading the Decker series so interesting. This book was a really really good thriller with all the unexpected twists and turns that a good thriller needs, however, it was missing a lot of the signature quirkiness that Amos Decker usually has, and that’s what’s keeping this book from being a perfect 5 for me. The plot itself was very interesting and the characters were great, but the lack of the Decker quirkiness we all know and love, along with some of the other great characters in the series not showing up, took it from being another amazing addition to the Amos Decker series, to just another good thriller in my opinion.
3.5-4 stars for me.

This book was such fun to listen to. I have enjoyed all the other Amos Decker books so I'm already invested in the characters. The twists kept me entertained and guessing. It took a little work to keep up with all the characters. I'll listen to it again.

Plot or Character Driven: Plot

Classic Baldacci read but I found it slightly too long and a little bit drawn out. I really liked the crossover of the characters, but not sure nearly 600 pages was necessary

i gotta say jameson is the most useless fbi agent. nonetheless, another entertaining book. sad to be done with the series

I had been feeling uninspired by the last 2 books in this series. They weren’t bad they just were difficult for me to get into and bored me a little. This book exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed the story the whole way through. I’m also glad to see Decker starting to evolve!
