So cute! I love that Hermit Crab's shell decorations become like family to him by the end. He definitely has an eye for flair and practical design!
Again Eric Carle amazes me with his talent. I always enjoy reading his books to students. The children loved pointing out the sea creatures they knew.

Hermit Crab needs a new house, finds one, then finds a whole bunch of friends to come along for the ride, then needs another new house, demos all the friends to some other free loader and wanders off into the sunset with his new house. Typical hermit!!!
