I’m not sure I understood this book, but towards the end I figured it out , sort of. Had I been reading the hardcopy, I might’ve Not finished it, but the narrator was amazing in this audiobook. This is a book that will hunt you long after you finished it.
DNF at 13%. The premise was so intriguing, but there are these weird (daily?) letters interspersed that are from the narrator’s friend critiquing the narrator’s writing of this mystery and it’s killing the story for me.
The narrator just let 3 complete strangers she met 3 days ago crash at her place for the night because it was too late to go home. In Boston. Give me a break. That’s not a thing that a normal person does and I’m not going to be able to get over this.

Nothing like I thought it would be from the description. Annoying AF. Hated the story. Hated the letters. Hated the obviousness of the plot and how the characters were irritating. Did Leo in the book have any point at all? No. Also, because I hated the rest, the inaccuracies about Boston were super irritating. Back Bay to Magazine Beach is not a casual walk. The 57 doesn’t go anywhere near the BPL or Harvard Square! The author was trying SO HARD to scene set in Boston that the errors stood out even more.

This book has a wonderful premise- a murder in the library! And then a group of unlikely people try to solve it.
The writing style killed it, it was really hard to keep reading it but I am giving this 3 stars because I liked the twist at the end!
