The premise was intriguing, and the concept definitely had potential. However, the dialogue was cringy and incomplete, the vocabulary felt very young and inexperienced, the editing/proofing was horrendous, and there were numerous time line plot holes. I almost DNFd it a handful of times, but I’m no quitter so I stuck it out. Will be keeping it strictly for the title and the cover.

This is a book within a book.
Author Hannah is writing a Mystery novel about four strangers thrown together amid a crisis.
Each person has a reason for being there. And one of them is a killer.

After Hannah finishes each chapter she sends it to her number one fan - Leo.
Leo adds a unique point of view along with suggestions and some criticism.

I loved this format and this double story was so fun to read. I can’t even decide which story I liked best. It was such a unique style and I would definitely recommend this one

On a technical level, I didn't think the prose or character building were very good. However the plot did hook me and kept me turning those pages frantically. The framing gimmick was interesting and gave me more to think about than the average mediocre thriller... but in the end that's pretty much what it was.

I enjoyed the majority of this story. I thought it was going to be a murder mystery but it didn't really feel like one in the end. The murder didn't seem as important as the story of how four complete strangers' lives intertwine. The escalation of the side story was interesting too! I just wasn't crazy about the ending.... it was odd. The story felt done but then the very last bit was just tossed in there to unnecessarily mess with you. But it didn't feel like a cliffhanger either. Just felt a bit disappointing.

audiobook-I enjoyed the reader, had to do a lot of accents. The concept was awesome but the execution wasn't there. Ended up being pretty predictable.

I haven't read a lot of mystery books but I really enjoyed this one! I wanted to read it at any chance I got which has opened up a wanting to read more of the mystery genre.

I did not guess correctly who the killer was. I somehow thought of everyone doing it but them! Great work Sulari, you had me shook
