I actually think this author is a good writer but the story fell short. Everything that led up to the reveal was decent enough to want you to keep reading. I’m not sure about the motive for the main story line. Or the second subplot…I could poke a lot of holes but I don’t want to give anything away. That being said I liked the format and pace of the book and if the final reveal had been more impressive - I would have given it a higher rating.

Obsessed with this book. It has been a long time since I’ve read a mystery but this book has had me in a chokehold. I honestly could not tell who did it and i took a stab in the dark guess that I didn’t realise was correct until the final moments. Loved the two stories occurring at the same time and the overlapping was done perfectly. So happy I picked up this book.

I absolutely loved the non traditional narrative in this one.

I like how this was presented as an author’s book with correspondence between Leo in Boston and the author in Australia. And then the book she wrote was about authors and their books. It reminded me of the movie inception a bit.
It was an interesting story but I though the ending was a disappointment and abrupt.
