This novella is a retelling of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher and follows the same broad strokes of that story's plot. This is a horror story and does have some creepy parts, but there's an overall cheerful tone to most of it that makes it a quick easy read.

A really interesting story with a mystery that grips you until the end. The moments of realization for the reader and the characters were delightful.

Very interesting premise and nice execution! I finished this slim book in a day and thoroughly enjoyed its chilling mycological atmosphere.

I loved this. I actively cringed at multiple pages regarding the hares. I do feel like I have to reread the original in context (it’s been years) but on its own this is grotesque and a great read. I did want just a little more punch in the conclusion however.
