Be prepared for a retelling that resonates with modern incel discourses. If you find incel content especially disturbing this may not be for you.

Ideally, Galatea would
not have died at the end
, but I'll take what I have hahah

This is the first piece I've read written by Miller and I must say I'm upset I haven't read anything by her before. This story was beautiful and painful. A quick and easy read, but it left me with a lot of emotion.

Sadly it is too short ☹️.
I like that she is so strong, Even though it is so hard for her. An ode to feminism, once aigain well done Madeline Miller.

although short, this story was very impacting. I couldn't bond with the characters on such a brief novel, however felt sorry for their sufferings nonetheless. It was a great short read by Madeline Miller.

A perfectly chosen myth to summarise in a short story and I loved every moment. Madeline Miller has such a brilliant talent of writing myths in a modern way without losing the original beauty and meanings of them
