i will never get over how impactful the messages of madeline miller's works are. finding your own individual freedom in a world or a society where it is forbidden for you is such a powerful, significant lesson. i adore the way she retells and reworks so many of these famous myths (even if they are not all one hundred percent accurate to the stories.)
