Absolutely loved it! An amazing continuation of the first book that kept me engrossed in it's pages the entire time, in total I think it took me 3 to 6 days to finish this book (in total, i spread it out over a few weeks) this book gave me the same rushes of emotions that I felt back when I first started reading books for pleasure when I was younger, it was refreshing to feel such a strong connection and emotion to the characters to the point where I was crying with them and felt personally betrayed along side them as well, overall an amazing book and I look forward to the third
The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is because during parts if the flashbacks and scenes of "empathy" I found myself bored and skipping forward a few paragraphs to move the story along, they seemed slower but they were necessary so it didn't impact my enjoyment if the novel a whole lot

I'm invested in the plot and I really appreciate all of the fight scenes, especially the junior cultivators learning a thing or two from Wei Wuxian. There's a lot more flashbacks in this book, where we see events through other’s perspectives. The pace definitely quickened there in the last part, so now it's onto volume 3!
