Equal parts hilarious and tragic. The Rover packs a lot of emotion into its short narrative. I absolutely love it.

I really like Drew's work but reading this the only reaction I had was why was this story being told and what is the point. I never came to a satisfactory answer.

Nice little story to read before my Saturday gets going. Took about a half hour and the world was solidly fleshed out. At times wanted more, at times thought the length was perfect. 6.5/10

Something lands in Armie's backyard. Something mechanical, something showing signs of intelligence and something that he names "The Rover".

This short story describes Armie's discovery and what he does next. Along the way we get a view of his life which is both amusing (in a slight, wry way) and a little sad.

In a short story a lot depends on the ending and I wasn't quite sure whether I was missing something or not and so it wasn't quite as satisfying as I'd hoped. Overall OK though.
