Beautiful, wonderful, stunning, gorgeous.

This was a spectacular graphic novel in both words and ilustrations. I loved that the different stories featured color palettes to reflect the mood/nature of the story being told. As someone who does not have textured hair requiring much care, I was fascinated by the intensive process to just wash hair, let alone styling or braiding it.

𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝘆𝗻 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗵 is a treasure trove of relatable narratives and vibrant illustrations. Following the lives of four best friends in the Bronx, each chapter unfolds like a heartfelt conversation among sisters. The authors skillfully weave together themes of friendship, self-care, and the beauty of Black hair rituals, offering a refreshing perspective on everyday experiences. From navigating mental health challenges to exploring career aspirations and family dynamics, the graphic novel delves into topics that resonate deeply. Through diverse characters and dynamic storytelling, 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 celebrates the resilience and joy of Black women. Rowser and Smith's collaboration is a triumph of representation and storytelling, capturing the essence of sisterhood with authenticity and grace. I found myself immersed in the lives of these characters, rooting for their triumphs and sharing in their laughter and tears.
