Far better than the first volume, all of the stories in this collection happen to be strong and inspired at equal measures. Ito can be scarier than this of course, though I might be a bit desensitized at this point.

Tomie is not one of my favorites from Junji Ito, specifically because of how repetitive it can get. Each chapter is almost directly the same with the only difference being the characters involved with the narrative and the events that follow with the exact same conclusions. This is one of the few problems I have with Junji Ito in general and why I prefer his short story collections over his omnibus volumes. Uzumaki is an exception.
