This book follows the story of how Emily Roebling had to take over the construction of Brooklyn Bridge since her husband, Washington Roebling, who was the chief civil engineer had suffered the Caisson Disease.
Having an insight to Emily's experience on how she saved the Brooklyn Bridge has motivated me a lot. As a women who pursue my study in Engineering program, she became one of my inspiration. Woman can be everything and anything that they want to be.

I really liked the artwork in this one, and I enjoyed learning about Emily Roebling, whom I'd never heard about before. She sounds like an amazing woman.

This book taught me some interesting facts about the Brooklyn Bridge and showcases a woman who was significant to women's history in the United States. It felt a little boring to me, but it also felt like it had an empowering tone. I liked the illustrations as well.
