Another wonderful part in this series. Though I seriously wanted to kick Maxon's ass, though the same goes for Aspen. Seriously dude, you broke up with her and now you are stalking her/confusing her.

Though our main lead girl should for once pick. You can't just go from one man to another. :\

I really hope the King will accept America.

I flew through THE SELECTION last year, and I flew through the sequel, THE ELITE as well. This picks up where book one left off, the few remaining girls at the castle still battling for Maxon’s heart and hand in marriage. America is still trying to figure out who she wants to become and if she could every possibly fit into life as a One. We get to know about the rebels and it is intriguing to see a different side of the characters during the Elite stage of the selection! I'm on TEAM MAXON!!! I learnt that you should never push away the people you care about because they could always find another!

And so the story continues! Although I preferred the first book in this series, book 2 wasn’t terrible. I’m hoping that the third book will make up for some not so great character development/decisions.

Izvēdināju smadzenes. Ar cerību, ka noslēdzošā daļa būs saturīgāka un visi šajā daļā ieslēptie mājieni pārtaps par normālu sižetu.

4 star!
it was still a good book, don't get me wrong, but i feel like so little happened in this book. i feel like this was a little more of a filler book, and that's also why it's rated a little lower. anyways, i still really enjoyed it, and the ending left me wanting more!

Basically, I could copy and paste my review of The Selection here. Why am I still reading this series? I have no idea, honestly. I'm hoping America will finally start to grow up and make some decisions in the next book. At this point, I've started it but don't have high hopes of finishing it. Might just try to find a synopsis to see if it is worth it.

I complained before about the awful love triangle in this series. There's not much to add except how much I can't stand either one of the love interests. They are both pretty disappointing and neither one of their characters seem trustworthy.
