I listened to the audiobook. I’m not sure why I thought book 2 would be any better. I’m not a fan of Kiera Cass’ writing style. I thought that since there were only 6 girls left now we’d get more and better character development but no. The world building in this universe was poorly executed. I consider this series a guilty pleasure but I won’t be finishing the series. More like torture than pleasure , I’m sorry. This book almost put me in a reading slump already. I’ll go to Wikipedia and read the spoilers for the last 3 books.

who gave this book permission to slap so hard?? maybe I'm just going insane during #quarantine, but listening to this book was so fun??? there was so much drama, so much romance, and (dare I say....is this hot take too hot...) potent and interesting political commentary that is applicable to today's society??? what more could you want in a dystopian love triangle trilogy based on the bachelor??? like it feels like this book should be so stupid... and it is stupid... and yet... despite that... it slaps... and so... despite its barriers... it slaps even harder than it would have if it didn't sound like it should be so stupid??? does that make sense?? god. i can't believe I never finished this series when I read it the first time. NOT cash money of me. will be listening to the third book ASAP because I never figured out how this series ended!!
