I was so hoping to love this as much as I did Ove. It just didn't seem to have the same spark for me.

A beautiful story about a woman finding herself after realizing she has been living her life for others. I loved the character growth of Britt-Marie and the relationships she built with the residents of Borg. I do understand the ending was the final step in her character development with her finally “jumping” and presumably going to Paris but I wish that she stayed with Vega and Omar and continued to be the soccer coach. I loved the soccer tournament, the dog and Sami. I also love the sympathetic way Sami and Ben’s dad are portrayed as good people who were in bad circumstances not simply bad-guy criminals. There was just the right amount of humor sprinkled into a moving commentary on community, belonging and obligation.
