A gilt-edged invitation to a 25-year high school reunion upends the life of Houston realtor, Ruth Dawson, and her realtor daughter, Dana. For years, Ruth avoided Crystal Lake, not once looking back after high school, but she wants to visit her hometown again.

During the reunion, Ruth becomes seriously ill, and the hospital calls her daughter. Dana rushes to her mother's side. Her arrival sets off a chain reaction of dramatic events raising questions for Dana as the fabric of her life is torn asunder.

This woman's fiction novel was a great way to pass an afternoon. Dana's journey mirrors the choices we face as adults. Heartfelt emotion is poured into these pages, masterfully seasoned with sincerity, honesty, and a courageous quest for the truth.

Above all, Yeary's tale reminds us of the enduring, abiding, and transforming power of love.
