I love non-fiction science books, but never before have I read a book that made me wish I still had access to a microscope like I did back in high school. The loving blend of western science and indigenous knowledge was entirely unique and almost poetic in its beautiful depictions and exploration of moss and nature and our (human) relationship with moss and forests and the earth. An absolutely stunning book I will have to read again in the future.

Especially enjoyed the parallels between mosses and Robin Wall Kimmerer's life.
