There is action, and hope, and devastation, and sadness, and yearning and retribution. There are protectors, and betrayals. I was angered, and cheered, and shed a tear. The setting, the story, the character development, the beasts, and the magic system; All are absolutely perfect in every way!

so I fear this cooked. Again, so well paced, the perfect plot:romance ratio where the crumbs are the most delicious things you could ever eat. Silla and Rey were absolutely amazing in this “she's a liar” “yeah but she's my liar” had me swooning and giggling and they just would not give up on each other. but also Rurik and Saga?? Number one I just love her and love that she's soft and not a battle ready FMC because It feels a lot easier to relate to. That being said I also love how she really comes into her power by the end and I love their romance and need some happiness for them in the next book. I thought the balance between the two plot lines was incredible and there was never a slow moment. Fast chapters, great romance I need everyone to read this series.

I enjoyed this far more than book one. I think it really benefited from multiple POVs - while the first one was slow and meandering, this one had two parallel plots running that helped keep you engaged. I often found myself getting absorbed in Silla’s story, then we would cut back to the Saga and I’d then become wrapped up in hers, and it was such a blast. I will say, it was still a bit slow towards the beginning, but it ramped up a lot faster and it kept the pace up once it got going.

I’m very interested to learn more about the Galdra as well as the Zagadkians (#JusticeForKass), and am glad that we will be continuing the multiple POVs for for the next book.

It was also cool that she started setting up the Chaos God to be the Big-Bad rather than the Urkans, which is an interesting twist. For most of this book it seemed we were heading more for liberation/revolution as the penultimate showdown, but now it seems they will be fighting for the fate of the world.

DID NOT FINISH

This is filler, and pretty much nothing else.
