Ellie is an actress who keeps getting cast in smaller roles, headed to small town Chilliwack to from a Christmas romance in July. Mariah is a makeup artist hired for the same project, but she really wants to be doing different films.
Both have local hook ups that seem like they may be going somewhere, but when they find out these guys are cheating on them, they bond together to try and get back at them.
Ellie and Mariah are cute together, very grumpy sunshine in terms of dynamic. I didn't really enjoy the plot that brought them together. That said, you will likely enjoy this sapphic romance if you enjoy bisexual protagonists, getting even after being wronged, Home Alone style pranks, and Hallmark type Christmas movie plots.

This was a super cute Hollywood esc story mixed with drama and Christmas in July. Very fluffy with drama to make the fluff go in an interesting manner.

first of all, thank you to netgalley and the author for letting me read this book in advance in exchange for an honest review.
i was very excited to read a bi4bi book that was sapphic, so i jumped into it very happily! i love a good grumpy x sunshine trope, and the fact that they were teaming up against a fuckboy made it much sweeter.
i liked how ellie and mariah grow during the events of the book, how they feed off of each other and learn how to become the best version of themselves; but (this might be my mariah side jumping out) the speed with which they develop feelings for each other felt like it was a bit too much, and the epilogue was a bit too cheesy for me.
overall it was a fun, lighthearted read and there's nothing wrong with that!
