Not sad! Beyond sweet!!
Chise got her wand finally!! And she gets to see Nivel again and they had a very intense conversation about feelings and what they mean.
Some sheep get shaved, and then even more emotional things happen but no one is almost murdered. There is just lots of communication happening.

The first third of this is Chise visiting Lindel, the mage and learning all about Elias's origins. It is very interesting and Elias is even less human than Chise thought. Also in this time, Lindel helps her make her first magical wand which goes better than she could have hoped.
The rest is more episodic again with Chise reintergrating into the household and dealing with all the strange creatures that visit Elias. It's interesting watching her learn to let people in (we learn more of her history too and her abandonment issues) while she teaches Elias about human emotions. We see things like insects that need shearing for self-warming wool, dragons and a host of other creatures.
If you like tons of action, this is probably not your jam. This is a slow deep pool. I like the characters and the art is lovely.

I like this book the best so far as it discusses some of Elias’ past with Lindel.

As always the art is gorgeous and Yamazaki still draws my favorite sprites/magical beings in manga.
This volume reveals a lot about Elias' past and origins along with some of Chise's. The best part is how their relationship is growing. It's all so organic. The writing is consistently top notch.

I am really loving where this manga is going I like learning more about Chise and Elias. I still really love the characters especially Chise and Elias I like their relationship it is a great family like relationship that may grow over time. I really liked that I learned more about both Chise and Elias at little about Chise's family and more on how Elias came to be. I am really liking the plot it picked up from where it left off and told many great things about both Elias and Chise. So overall I loved this volume of the story will continue it sometime soon.
