Well written and I was intrigued by a lot of the story parts. But I am not ready to relive the pain of the pandemic.
Comparatively, I thought The Sentence worked through the pain of the pandemic without shoving it back down your throat the way Picoult did here. But Wish You Were Here shows a reality from the side of the medical world that should be explored and written about, I'm just not there yet (and might not be).

A long but captivating story. I normally hate any mention of Covid in a book, but this one was good enough to get past that. I loved the imagery of this book and the thought provoking moments.

Holy shit - what the fuck just happened?!
I love and hate this story so much?! You grow to be so fond and in love with this family on this island and watch the metamorphosis of a main character who ROCKS (I don’t typically love the oh so relatable main character) and then POOF - they never existed. The way this was written I feel like I mourned them right alongside her!!
I kept waiting for the flip back, that her almost dying in the ocean was the accident that caused going back being the hallucination, I wanted to know how the family was, what happened!!!! What an incredible read. Truly changing, so confusing but a plot twist I could have NEVER EVER EVER seen coming.
Still too soon for me to read about COVID and not feel hurt inside. But the writing did it justice. Jodi did fabulous as usual, what a great read. So happy she left the doctor even when it was hard

hard to read about covid so soon but also encapsulated so many of the emotions of quarantine and the unknown. the imagery of the galápagos islands was beautiful

It kind of felt like two completely separate books, and I enjoyed the first half way more than the second

I thoroughly loved this read!
There where times when the language was a tad to embellished for my liking but that's the only thing I would criticize.
The characters were greatly portraited and very likeable. The building of scenery as well.
