This was not a super great read. I really enjoy this series (let’s be honest, I enjoy the smut) but this was just a “his view” of the last “A Touch” book. The sections with Dionysus was tolerable since there’s a spin-off series, but the antagonist point of view was just awful. There was no depth to why he was depraved so it felt like we were in a rapist’s head just for shock value and it was really icky to read about how he was going to use or break certain women. The book really could’ve done without it.

so sad, I love the Hades pov...
I guess with this book everything seemed a little more dull compared to the other books. I am not a fan of Persephone but I do like the way Hades sees her character and how he paints her character. He sees her in a much more grown and "her own person" kind of light and reading the Persephone pov feels more juvenile. Either way I still feel like it's Hades living in Persephone's world and not them existing together. Side note: I was skeptical but I actually really enjoyed the Dionysus and Theseus pov in this book. Dionysus added extra spice and a new romance to fawn over, Theseus is sick and disgusting and I hope he burns to death. :)

i was really looking forward to this book, and i’ve tended to like the hades saga books more than the “touch of” series. however… this one was lacking. it didn’t feel like ENOUGH that happened from Hades pov to justify an entire book, and it felt repetitive. even the added parts from thesus and dionysus didn’t make up for it.
