Grace and Frankie meets true crime. I am in love with the members of the Thursday Murder Club and their friends. This book was a lot of fun and I feel the need to go to the first book of the series and get to know them even more.

The second instalment of this series follows our Thursday Murder Club investigating stolen diamonds and a double murder, alongside an attack on one of their own.

Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one! I think the plot held my attention more than the first novel as it generally just seemed more interesting to me compared.

I also felt like the characters were able to be a lot more developed as a result of this being the second novel, as their previous introductions had been made, therefore their true nature was able to shine a bit more and we got to know them on a deeper level, my favourite being the way Ron cares about Ibrahim and their relationship. I also really loved learning more about Elizabeth’s past work life and the skills she’s managed to hold onto and utilise when in her “peaceful retirement.” Also, the relationship shown with Stephen and Bogdan were some of my favourite moments of the books and Bodgan is quite possibly one of my favourite characters, despite the lack of detail surrounding him as this leads to a lot of mystery and guessing!

The humour within these books had me genuinely laughing out loud which is always something I’m impressed by with a book, especially with the way in which it is written it is just so entertaining!

I would highly recommend this book to anybody interested in the series as I felt it really did top the first one for sure!

I really enjoyed this book and I even preferred it to the first one. Often sequels tend to veer off and can lose the spark of their predecessor. But ‘The Man Who Died Twice’ was such a great read and a breath of fresh air. Osman retained the charm and wit of the first, but this time the plot felt far more polished and the writing massively improved.

The plot was still predictable, but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment. This is mostly down to the characters. I love each of them, they’re really easy to fall in love with. I loved that we got more insight into their personalities and we begin to explore more of their past, particularly Elizabeth. I’m hoping with the next, we’ll learn more about the history of the other three. The side characters were also amazing and well developed.

I read this as an audiobook and I just wanted to mention the amazing narration of Lesley Manville! She did a superb job of capturing the essence of the story and portraying the characters. I would 100% recommend the audiobook.

He’s done it again! I love these characters to death (but not actually, I would be devastated if they died lol)
