This book would serve as a pretty good summary of the massive Journey to the West saga, distilled to the main parts concerning everyone's favorite trouble maker, Sun Wukong. The shortening of the story makes it more accessible to a reader daunted by multi-volume non-Western European literature, though it does lose some of the symbolism present in the full narrative.

A fun, fast-paced, but perhaps overly simplistic retelling of a classic tale.
