This book is jam packed with information, I just wish it were done in a more well-structured way. About midway through, I started to maybe understand the structure the author was using, but that didn’t make it any less confusing to read. Unfortunately, a map that only the author can see isn’t very helpful in guiding those of us reading it.

That being said, I did appreciate the way the author tried to make this more than just facts on a page. He built up the main characters and added depth to the stories. And the amount of cases that he included was impressive.

It was a lot to get through, and it took me longer than normal, but I did enjoy learning about the Vidocq Society and their cases.
