This was a really good, solid story. I loved that the coincidence was believable, not just fabricated and convenient for the plot. I loved that Carl was a poor-man-made-good and that he had things holding him back, like not being able to read well. It was refreshing to see the characters being so atypical for a historical story.

it was horrible.
The Hanged Man is infatuated with his savior, a lawyer.
He doesn't have his own agency. He just becomes a stalker of the lawyer.
And its romanticized. its gross.
