I don't really know how to review TANGLED IN TINSEL because there were so many things that didn't make sense and then it ended abruptly after the characters got engaged but nothing was resolved. I don't want to go on forever, but a few things really stood out as issues. First, there is no description of what Spencer and Deacon look like other than one of them has hair in a bun; outside of that we know nothing. I'm also confused as to why Courtney would stay to help her family's business when they're so toxic and by her own words physically abusive.
Another issue was the strange dynamic between the three of them; the guys have been apart from Courtney for 3 years but they've been in contact and yet aren't trying to long-distance date even though none of them are dating anyone else. When Courtney shows up for a visit they're acting very loving in certain ways but then not in other ways. It was also strange that Spencer and Deacon never show any physical connection with each other even though we're told they're together too. They never kiss, hold hands, hug, or anything. I would never have guessed they were together if we weren't told they slept in the same bed and that they love each other. And when the three of them finally got intimate there was a strange undercurrent of jealousy between the guys that didn't make any sense.
And the biggest thing is the way the embezzlement side plot around Courtney's family is never resolved. It's just sort of jammed into the story as a way to keep the characters apart in the beginning and then we never find out what happened. There were lots of other small issues but those are the main things that made this read confusing and disjointed.
