Diviner’s Prophecy by Nicolette Andrews is book one in the Diviner’s Trilogy that I listened to on audio narrated by Anna Castigloni. This book is outside my usual reading genre but I did enjoy it and look forward to reading book two Diviner’s Curse. I did find the story to be a bit slow, but Nicolette did pull me in and I had to know how it was going to end. Anna did a great job narrating. I enjoyed the different voices she used for the different characters. I cannot wait to find other projects that she has worked on. The book does end on a cliffhanger. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Fantasy or Royal storylines.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this one. It was a bit difficult to get into, but towards the end, it got to be pretty good with a rather interesting turn. It didn't sweep me off my feet, but it was worth taking notice of. We'll see what the next installment brings.

Political intrigue, romance, sorcery a possible war looming in the background and a prophecy that for tells description. The story starts slow at the beginning but as I read on it hooked me in and I kept on reading until 5am! which hasn't happen in a long time and I love it when a book does that. I love the character's although I was angry with Mae sometimes but she redeems herself at the end of the book. I'm curious to see how her journey will continue in Book 2&3 and how she will handle what lies ahead. Another character that I love is Johai and his mysteriousness that surrounds him. Why did he did although it was to save Mae life there must still be another reason. Really great book and I highly recommend it to fantasy lovers!

My biggest issue with this book is that the main character remained clueless throughout the entire book only because she didn't ask any questions! Why?? (See, I just asked a question...it's not that hard). She even had friends and while she confided in them, not once did she ask them what they knew. Even the ones she was supposedly asking help from. She told them her predicament but never asked them what they knew or what was going on. It just got frustrating after awhile. Other than that, I enjoyed the characters and the overall storyline. The series has a lot of potential.
I'm not sure I will continue the series though because Johai's character wasn't developed enough for me to have much interest in him and Maea together. I'm very disappointed that Adair turned out bad because his character was much more intriguing.
