I became aware of this book because I had seen the movie staring Anna Sophia Robb and Loved it.  I decided that I wanted to read the book that inspired it.  While it was well written, I only gave it three stars because it moved a bit slow and did not express the emotion of what she went through.  I feel maybe it was too close to the event seeing as even the author admits it was still hard for her to talk about how she felt.  That being said, this is a beautiful and inspirational story.
