I never watched this movie and figured I’d give the book a try for a change of pace. I finished in 24 hours and loved that it was super fast paced, even though not much made sense I just shut my brain off and enjoyed the ride lol

I didn't expect to love the book.
I heard some really bad comments, so i wasn't sure if was going to like it. I did! I really did.
It was a very interesting book. The situation was kind of intense the whole book, therefore i couldn't stop reading.
I've read the book before watching movie, so I was happy not to be spoiled and I was really nervous throughout the book.
The story describes a group of guys, without their memories, who were somehow put in the Glade and were surrounded by a Maze, with terrifying creatures inside. As they think - their problem is to solve the Maze and as a result to be back at home. The main character is Thomas. He appears as all of the guys, without memory and from the box-lift. Right after him appears an unconcious girl. Things start to get different.
I had a marvelous time reading it! The plot was really great! Can't wait to pick up The Scorch Trials and meet with Thomas, Newt, Minho and Teresa again!

A little terrifying, but simple, good writing and a nice gripping storyline. Probably 3 stars, not my fave.
this book was not AT ALL what i expect for what i’ve heard about this book. it was gory, sad, AND SUCH A WELL DEVELOPED PLOT AND STORY!! and even when i thought i strongly disliked one of the side characters, this book found a way to still twist my heart strings. it was very easy to be able to learn and grow “just as thomas did” as he learned about the happenings and how everything worked + what he went through. just ugh, i don’t know what else to say..
